Welcome to DashDezigns
I've had a passion for photography since attending my first collegiate Photography class. Way back, when we developed our pictures in a darkroom and digital photography was years away.
The fundamentals and experiences learned then refueled themselves much later in life when I started my career as a high school soccer coach. Digital Cameras became a fixture in my 16 year coaching tenure. Shooting game footage and analyzing the stills. Using many of the photos in my other interest - website design with an emphasis on Sports websites.
Melding my college passion with new technologies of the time was a perfect fit. Advances in photography like Photoshop, Lightroom, and other AI software allowed me to extend my creativity into many areas.
I've covered the full gamut of professional photography having shot many weddings, senior photos, sports, team, and every ancillary event imaginable.
I love landscape and travel photography and still do a lot of that when time allows. Those are more personal indulgences and ways to channel my creativity while creating legitimate excuses to travel the country and world occasionally.
Spend a whole lot of time photographing pets. I've always had a love/bond and inherent connection with our 4-legged friends and have had many enjoyable and successful sessions in that area.
I eventually migrated to drone aerial photography. I'm an avid collector of vintage camera equipment and especially favor Hasselblad, a German camera/lens manufacturer. When Mavic (manufacturer of my current aircraft) teamed up with Hasselblad to create a top-end drone with superior optical equipment on board I was sold and bought one when they first hit the market.
I've been flying Mavic's signature drone for 3 years and have learned a lot about the dynamics of aerial photography. It's so much different than land-based..more challenging and rewarding. I've realized this is what I want to concentrate my business on going forward.
I'm working on my FAA remote pilot's license and hope to have that certification before year's end.
I'm an avid coffee drinker and that also fuels the photographer spirit within me.
